I'll agree with pdq67 that they can be had for a lot less than $500. A Hurst Comp Plus shifter is a good choice but a Saginaw install kit will be needed.My old L65 Camaro had a Saginaw 4 speed in it. If the motor was rated below 300 horsepower (such as the 275 to 300 horse 327) it got a Saginaw if a four sped was ordered.
